Muldeum in (人) Ciné season 2 was successfully held until May 29, 2024. ‘Muldeum in Ciné’ is a program that HBNU and Yuseong-gu jointly host and operate.
The Muldeum in Ciné program contains the dual meaning of ‘in the movie (in), colored each other’ and ‘people (人) and people (人) are bathed in movies.’ This program selects and screens short films that are not widely known to the public. After the short movie screening, to be arrange for the audience talk about the movie directly with the movie director. The program is free, and you can participate after registering in advance using the QR code in the information poster.
Muldeum in Ciné season 2 was began on March 28, 2024, with movie director Kim So-hyung’s Maybe It Was Late Summer. This film shows how a girl and her grandmother overcomes nationalities, generations, and language become a family story.
The second Muldeum in Ciné proceeded on May 1, with movie director Choi Byung-kwon’s film, Bokdeokbang. This short movie tells us about the reality of the young generation and immigrants who can not even secure the basic conditions of life such as ‘housing,’, and depicts discrimination and hatred in Korean society.
The last day’s program was held on May 29, when movie director Park Ji-in’s short movie Transfer Student was screened. Park Ji-in expressed that she wanted to support the people looking for a new life and their fears, anxieties, and hopes.
Season 2 of Muldeum in Ciné ended on May 29, 2024, with three short movies. The Muldeum in Ciné program is being planned and implemented for 3 years and is scheduled to be held once more in 2025. Students who did not participated in season 1,2 are highly recommended to participated its season 3.
