Have you ever seen the students wearing military uniforms? They are students from ROTC. This article contains detailed information about ROTC.
What is ROTC?
The ROTC System aims to foster outstanding university students into officers. You can combine university life with a military curriculum. Also ROTC students are commissioned as second lieutenants and discharged from the military after fulfilling military service for two years and four months. After that, you can do a long service if you want.
Benefits of ROTC

-Conducting overseas military cultural tours once a year is available.
-If you are selected as a ROTC leadership trainee in the USA, 4 million won scholarship will be paid.
-Selected as a self governing command worker, you will receive A or B, or C level scholarships for each semester.
-Short term service officer incentive and training aid expenses will be paid.
-Monthly they support approximately 180,000 won for capacity building and 1.25 million per season (three times in total) for military training.
-Priority will be given when entering the dormitory.
-You can use military recreation facilities. |
Visions after graduation

-The people who are long term service members can attend private graduate schools with state funds.
-If you are a long term service member, you can study and train in foreign countries, like the USA.
-Level 7 civil servant salaries are provided for 2 years and 4 months during the compulsory service. |
